Who are Intercessors for Bristol?

We are Christians of all denominations from around the City with a desire to come before the Lord, seek His face and be led by His Spirit to pray for the City of Bristol. Young and mature Christians are all very welcome. We would like to pray for you as well and encourage you in the Lord. You are precious to Him.

What do we do?

We usually share over a cuppa and it doesn’t take long before someone will begin to pray to the Lord about something that has been discussed. Tea is often left to go cold as we are drawn into His presence. Sometimes we enter a time of intercession with groanings too deep to utter and maybe we pray in tongues for a while. Sometimes, as we pray for a specific area, we sense the Lord encouraging us to visit that area and to walk around it and pray as He leads. Each meeting is different but our aim is always to seek His face and be lead by His Spirit. Sometimes we simply thank Him and praise Him. Occasionally we take communion together.

What are our aims?

The Lord gave the vision for Intercessors for Bristol to pray for the lost and to bring Christians together from around the City. Our aim is to visit each area of the City and pray for it and to see a representative from each prayer group across the City, come and share what is going on in their area so that we can know their needs and become a CITY OF UNITED CHRISTIANS as we pray for each other and the needs of the City.

Where do we meet?

We meet in the PRAYER ROOM AT STAPLETON RD CHAPEL on the corner of Newton St and opposite the Leisure Centre. The entrance is through the small gate at the front of church by the pub! IMPORTANT NOTE …. THE PRAYER ROOM IS AT THE TOP OF STEEP STAIRS WITH A HAND RAIL.

When do we meet?

EVERY FRIDAY AT 10.15am  We would love to welcome you every week, once a month or whenever you can make it. Come and pray with us or simply sit in and bring your needs. YOU WILL BE WELCOME.
